Meet Dr. Elizabeth Hardin (Dayton, OH)
Upon graduating from Xavier University, Dr. Elizabeth Hardin was employed as an optician. The desire to help patients achieve their best vision was her driving force to become an optometrist. She attended The Ohio State College of Optometry and has been practicing optometry for 22 years. She joined Shawnee Optical in 2022 with interest in comprehensive eye care, eye disease, and contact lenses.
Dr. Hardin and her husband, Derek, reside in Carlisle. When not in the office, she enjoys traveling and volunteering in her community.

After three days of experiencing floaters in my right eye I decided to get an eye exam. I needed to ... Show Morego where Medicare was accepted as that is my provider. Shawnee Optical was close and convenient, and they got me an appointment quickly.
The tech took some tests on my eye and then shared the results with Dr. Elizabeth Hardin. After she reviewed the results she consulted with me and wanted a few further tests run, which we did.
After those results we consulted again and she shared her concern that I need immediate laser surgery as I had retinal tears (Vitreous hemorrhage). They referred me to Dayton Vitreo-Retinal Associates in Dayton for an appointment early the next morning, where the diagnosis was confirmed and the procedure performed.
So thankful for Dr. Hardin and this facility to identify my issue and assist my needs quickly.
